Error Code 11 perm ban?
Ok, first post ever here, so I suspect I'll get slammed for repeat post. I did, however, do a search for what I was looking for and didn't find an answer. I've played GW for over 2 years and have 2 accounts. One is a plaync account and the other is email based. I play the Plaync account on occasion between work related travel. I recently got wind of an excessive amount of emails tied to the plaync account, not to mention there was a password change. Upon further research, I found that prior to this there was a large number of tickets opened on the support site with some rather unpleasant correspondence between the perpetrator and support. So much that they blocked the support account from making further reports. I had a hard enough time setting this all up in the beginning when I purchased the account from plaync. Apparently whoever did this also got my account suspended for racial slurs or a name or something like that, but it didn't stop there. This person harassed support so much that the last email I received said they banned the account permanently but when I log on it says error code 11, which to my understanding is a password error. I'm going to try to contact support but I'm not sure what to do because I don't want to make the situation worse (them thinking I am the one that made these tickets). I can't log in and report on my normal support account, so will I get in trouble for making another? I have spent over $150.00 on this account with all campaigns, and I have had this plaync account for only 6 months, so understandably I am concerned about losing the account but also the money I have invested in a game that I would have enjoyed for years. Keep in mind I am 45 years old and would never behave in such a manner as indicated in the text of those support tickets. I still have the old account which is email based, but all it has is Prophecies on it since I did not know how to add the serial numbers to that I purchased online fom PLaync. Could someone please point me in the right direction or offer any advice?

I would go to play nc's website and contact them that way. If at all Ive heard of people being banned b/c.. the game sees your ip jump around the world and figures your selling the account. But if you travel I would make it clear to them and plead your case.

Maybe use your email accont to make the support ticket and explain the other account situation. With the change in attitude (make sure you're excessively polite) they might be able to do something for you.

Don't know what an error 11 is, but if it is a password issue, it is probably because the person who hacked your account changed the password. I'd worry first about HOW the account was stolen, and get that fixed. Otherwise you may lose more, and you may lose the account again if you get it unbanned.

you might also want to find your original cd keys to prove you are the owner of the accounts in question---and if you have the receipts from the purchases as well.

Second: I'd estimate your chances are slim. The support people are not omniscient - all they have to work with are your messages and their logs. It's very hard for tem to determine the truth. While you know that it's really your own account that someone else has made trouble with, they don't. For them, it's one possible explanation, no more probable than you being the same person that has caused trouble and are simply assuming a new identity (new mail address, new IP - both easily changed, and also the only thing that distinguishes people on the internet). So, be very polite, and also be yourself. Show that this is someone else, not the person that's caused so much trouble. Show that giving a new password to you will mean the end of trouble - not a restart of the whole cycle. Also realize the odds are likely against your already. People abuse, cheat, impersonate, insult, fake apologies, get other people to help, jump to forums spreading biased views or even complete lies. This affects support. They will be, at the very least, suspicious, and not inclined to take your words alone as true. Just be prepared. I don't think anyone can give you anything more than this. |
